Post caps, a.k.a. fence caps, are decorative structures covering the tops of wooden posts on outdoor decks and wooden fences. Not only do they enhance the outdoor wooden structure, but they protect the top of the wooden post from cracking and splintering. Post caps will also cover up any uneven mill cuts or other eyesores on top of the fence or deck post. Available for nominal post sizes of 4x4.

How to choose the correct stainless steel post cap size:
Nantucket Post Caps are sized according to the actual physical measurement of your post. All post caps are made 1/8" larger on the opening then the actual post size you specify. For example, if your 4x4 standard post truly measures 3-1/2" x 3-1/2", then you would choose that size and your cap would come with an inside measurement of 3-5/8" x 3-5/8".
