Tiger Claw Hidden Deck Fasteners' unique patented design produces a smooth "nail free" surface to emphasize the beauty of the wood.

Constructed from heavy gauge stainless steel, strength and durability are assured. Tiger Claw hidden deck fasteners offer outstanding hold-down power for both wood and synthetic decking materials. They allow the beauty of the wood to be preserved and reduce splitting, splintering, cupping and rotting. With Tiger Claw hidden deck fasteners, you can create a better looking, longer lasting, safer deck at an affordable price.

Tiger Claw's unique fastener securely attaches decking boards using "claws" to grab the edge of board in such a way that no fasteners are visible. The fastener is secured to the support frame with a common decking screw. Reduced cupping, splitting, and cracking are benefits associated with this hidden fastener. Installation is quick and easy, without the need of any special tools.

Recommended for use in 3/4" or 5/4" hardwood decking with widths up to a nominal 4" (3.5" width). Consideration must be taken to ensure that decking expansion and/or contraction to climate is limited to ± 1/16" in width.

Designed specifically for exotic hardwood decking lumber. TC-4S will work in the following decking lumber varieties:

  • Brazilian redwood
  • Ipe
  • Iron Wood
  • Mangaris
  • PurpleHeart
  • Teak

Please consult your lumber professional or ask us for recommendations first if you plan to use any other type of hardwood in your decking project.

TC-4S should NOT be used with: Composite Decking, Cellular PVC Decking, Mahogany (Meranti, Cambara), Softwoods (Pressure Treated, Cedar).

PLEASE NOTE: TC-4S is designed for extreme hardwood decking (Ipe, Brazilian Redwood, Tiger Wood etc.). These materials are known as "Ironwoods". These types of decking experience very little expansion and contraction in normal conditions and if properly cared for. Consult with your decking supplier to learn more about how this decking will react to the climate in your area. Decking that may shrink or expand more than 1/8 inch after installation should not be used with the TC-4S.
